Weekly Schoolwide Programs
All students attend the following classes weekly or biweekly.

Computer Lab  Students visit the lab  with their class to learn basic computer and keyboarding (typing) skills as well as project based learning.

Library  Students visit the library weekly with their class to learn how to use the library, check out books and be taught critical information literacy skills.  Parents are welcome in the library and may also check out books; see the librarian to get your own ID number.

Music  Students receive music education weekly.  At all ages, students prepare musical plays and concerts as part of their music class.

Physical Education  Students attend Physical Education classes two times  per week, inside or outside, weather dependent.  Students are expected to participate in all activities unless they have a written excuse from a physician.  Please notify the school nurse and have the student bring the excuse to the office.  Students should have a pair of gym shoes (tennis shoes) with non-marking soles to keep in school.  Please make sure that your child’s shoes are clearly labeled with his/her name.

Counseling  Social Skills lessons focus on the development of social skills and prevention covering these topics:  self-awareness, empathy, communication, problem solving, peer pressure, personal safety, and respect for self and others.   Please contact the school counselor for questions about scheduling, lessons, curriculum, or materials.
